e = it²

Einstein’s celebrated scientific formula e= mc² is the most famous formula in the world. You will have to look hard, however, to find any leader of people who use this magic formula on a Monday morning. And we are all called upon to provide leadership of some kind or another every day of our lives.

So we have discovered e = it². It is simpler.

e = it² is about relationships, where e = positive human energy, lively, vigorous, creative, spontaneous, real energy,
where i = information, knowledge and wisdom, (but not noise),
and where t = trust, honesty and authenticity.

i (information) and t (trust) are the critical ingredients of a high- energy relationship. Starve a relationship of information and it starts to die. If there is little or no trust the information has no value. It is undernourished. Information is the oxygen of all relationships.

As the quality of trust and information grows, so does the energy. It spirals up exponentially.

Since families, schools, businesses and communities are made up of relationships, e = it² is the formula for high-energy families and teams, schools, businesses and communities, in fact, for all human organisations, for marriages, even nations.

A natural leader understands that e = it², but most of us need to relearn it however, because the world in which we live generally seeks to use power, power over others. It’s formula is p = md².

Power = (misinformation and distrust² ) is what we are taught.

The problem with power is that it is not unlimited and it is very expensive to use. Newton’s Third Law of Motion explains why. It says that every force generates an equal and opposite force. Power destroys relationships.
